The training on information literacy, agenda setting, and digital advocacy—originally planned for August—was postponed to January due to political instability in Syria and difficulties in reaching participants. The programme was delivered in a hybrid format to ensure broad access for CSO representatives.

Face-to-face sessions were held over three days in Idlib (2–4 January 2025) and three days in Afrin (9–11 January 2025). These sessions combined theoretical discussions with case studies, group work, and interactive workshops, offering participants a hands-on learning experience in navigating information, shaping public agendas, and conducting effective digital advocacy.

To meet anticipated demand, two rounds of online training were offered on 5–7 January and 12–14 January. However, participation in online sessions remained lower due to limited opportunities for practical engagement and real-time interaction.

Participant consent was obtained for all documentation, with written approval during in-person sessions and automated consent for online sessions. While online training supported accessibility, feedback showed that the in-person format provided stronger interaction, enabling participants to significantly strengthen their skills in information literacy, digital advocacy, and agenda-setting.
