As part of this activity, lobbying meetings were carried out both in Türkiye and Syria to strengthen dialogue with relevant stakeholders and promote the project’s advocacy messages on gender equality and women’s rights. In Türkiye, a study visit was organized in Ankara on 10 June 2026, during which five participants from Syria visited the Association for Monitoring Gender Equality (CEİD) and the Association for Migration Research (İGAM). The meetings provided participants with the opportunity to exchange experiences, learn about good practices in advocacy and civil society engagement, and discuss issues related to gender equality, refugee rights, and social inclusion. During these visits, the policy document prepared within the scope of the project was also presented and shared with the relevant stakeholders, providing a basis for discussions on policy recommendations and future cooperation in the field of gender equality and the inclusion of women and girls.
In Syria, lobbying meetings were conducted with relevant public institutions and civil society organizations in Azaz, Aleppo, Idlib, and Damascus. Each institutional visit was carried out by a delegation of five participants. On 22–23 June 2026, five institutions were visited in Damascus. On 24 June 2026, two institutions were visited in Azaz. Between 23 and 26 June 2026, seven institutions were visited in Aleppo, while five institutions were visited in Idlib on 24 June 2026. During these visits, the policy document prepared within the scope of the project was presented and shared with the relevant stakeholders, serving as the basis for discussions and advocacy on gender equality and the inclusion of women and girls. These meetings facilitated dialogue with key stakeholders, promoted the project’s advocacy recommendations, and strengthened cooperation on advancing gender equality and the inclusion of women and girls in Syria.
