The training on gender-sensitive and inclusive digital media—initially planned for August—was postponed to January due to political instability in Syria and challenges in accessing participants. The programme was delivered in a hybrid format, combining in-person and online sessions to reach a wider group of CSO representatives.

Face-to-face sessions took place over three days in Idlib (2–4 January 2025) and three days in Afrin (9–11 January 2025). These sessions blended theoretical input with hands-on learning through group discussions, case studies, and interactive workshops, enabling participants to develop practical skills in inclusive media production and digital communication.

Two online training rounds were also organised on 5–7 January and 12–14 January. However, participation remained lower than in the face-to-face sessions, mainly due to limited opportunities for real-time interaction and applied practice.

To ensure ethical compliance, participant consent was obtained for photo and video documentation—written during in-person sessions and automated during online sessions. While the online format increased accessibility, feedback highlighted that in-person sessions were more impactful, offering stronger engagement and significantly enhancing participants’ abilities in gender-sensitive digital media and online advocacy.
