A three-day advocacy workshop was organised in Ankara on 8–10 June 2026, bringing together young participants from Syria and Türkiye, including Syrian women residing in Türkiye. Five participants travelled from Syria to take part in the activity. Attendance varied during the workshop, with 11 participants attending the first day and 15 participants attending the second day.
Through expert presentations, interactive group discussions and collaborative drafting exercises, participants identified key challenges relating to gender equality and women’s rights and developed practical recommendations from a youth perspective.
At the end of the workshop, participants jointly finalised the Youth Recommendations and Advocacy Document, presenting recommendations to strengthen gender equality, women’s rights and women’s participation in Syria. The document was subsequently shared through the project website and digital communication channels to support advocacy efforts and increase the visibility of the project results.
